ABOUT ME:

Welcome to The Reading Train!


My name is Janice Bourgeon, and I’ve been tutoring for over 15 years. I launched The Reading Train in Brantford in 2006, later relocating the business to Oshawa in 2008, and finally settling in Niagara Falls, where I currently reside.

I hold a diploma in Early Childhood Education as well as a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) diploma. I'm also the author of two children’s books: Paint Me Daddy and Booger. In addition to tutoring, I create educational content on YouTube, including read-alouds of popular children’s stories.

For many years, I’ve been dedicated to helping struggling readers build confidence, improve their skills, and discover the joy of reading. Teaching is my passion, and I take great pride in sharing my love of literacy with children of all ages.
